Silica bonded n-propyl-1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine as a basic catalyst for synthesis of arylmethylenemalononitrile and pyran annulated heterocyclic compounds
author
Abstract:
In the present research, silica bonded n-propyl-1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine (SPTT) was synthesized by direct incorporation of chloropropyl groups through co-condensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and 3-chloropropyl trimethoxysilane (CPTMS) and subsequent grafting the melamine onto the propyl groups via simple nucleophilic substitution reaction. The catalyst has been characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The catalytic activity of catalyst was probed through synthesis of arylmethylenemalononitrile and pyran annulated heterocyclic compounds. The catalytic activity of catalyst was probed through synthesis of arylmethylenemalononitrile and pyran annulated heterocyclic compounds. The catalytic activity of catalyst was probed through synthesis of arylmethylenemalononitrile and pyran annulated heterocyclic compounds.

full textSilica-bonded n-propyldiethylenetriamine sulfamic acid as a recyclable solid acid catalyst for the synthesis of coumarin and biscoumarin derivatives
Silica-bonded n-propyldiethylenetriamine sulfamic acid (SBPDSA) was found as an efficient solid acid for the synthesis of coumarins. Coumarin derivatives were obtained via the Pechmann condensation reaction of phenols and β-keto-esters at 80 oC under solvent-free conditions. Also, biscoumarins were obtained via the condensation of aldehydes and 4-hydroxycoumarin in water at reflux conditions. T...

In the current study, amorphous silica nanoparticles were easily extracted from rice husk ash. The target composite was synthesized by the direct incorporation of chloropropyl groups through the condensation of nanosilica and 3-chloropropyl trimethoxysilane and then grafting of 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine (Melamine) onto the propyl groups by the simple nucleophilic substitution reaction (RHA@...
full textPyridine-functionalized MCM-41 as an efficient and recoverable catalyst for the synthesis of pyran annulated heterocyclic systems.
Pyridine-functionalized MCM-41 catalyzed reactions between tetracyanoethylene and various activated CH-acid compounds are described. These reactions afford the corresponding pyran annulated heterocyclic ring systems in high yields at room temperature within a few minutes. The work-up procedure is very simple and the products do not require further purification. The catalyst can be recycled and ...
